Attention Soulstealers! As many of you know, Our lead singer/bass player Ken Nelson stepped away from the asylum a few months ago, leaving the guys with 2 important positions to fill. Although Nelson played bass & sang for the band, the guys decided that they wanted to find separate members for these important chores. The search was intense & the competition was fun, and in the end, Soulstatic now has those defining positions filled with members who will surely rock you to your soul!

The first member to be chosen for the sacred fold was Jude Prince on bass. Jude is a good friend of Jack, our lead player & he has played in his own band with Jack for quite some time. He's a great guy and fits in perfectly with the band. Jude's interest was genuine & the musicianship he has brought to the bands songs is detailed & refreshing. His hard work to get up to speed will surely help the band get back out on the road in 2026.

The next step the band had to take was to find an iconic singer who could take the reigns of the asylum & forge a new path to new heights. The guys put out the beacon & many were attracted to it. The bar was high as were the expectations. In the end, the boys selection was unexpected yet definitive! When the email came in from Janelle Irwin, (a singer/songwriter from southwest Nebraska), the guys were delighted to see a female was interested in the powerhouse job! Janelle is a professional with her own album out, but a solo career was just not the top of her ladder. Janelle wanted more & the prospect of using her powerful voice to front a hard rock band was something she couldn't resist. She sang a couple of the bands songs for the guys, and the rest is history. Janelle's powerful presence in Soulstatic is sure to be a hit and all you Soulstealers out there are going to love it!
Be sure to check out both Jude's & Janelle's bios on the band page, & give them a hell of a warm reception when you see us out on the road this year! The asylum has spoken, this is the way!
